| Answer:
Your homes pallete should flow from room to room. For my home I actually have 2 common colors found throughout, Beige and Green. I carry these colors into the adjoining rooms but may vary the shade of each color. I condsider Green a neutral and would use that as your homes common color. Add a coordinating green to the kitchen be it in accessories or your soft goods (curtains, placemats, rugs, towels). A pattern fabric incorporating the green and gold would help to tie the rooms together creating a harmonious look. The bathrooms dont have to be identical in color and decor. Use variation for excitement. Although the master bath should flow with the master bedroom. This is such a personal space and I tend to add a bit of the unusual in here. It does not have to be a picture perfect fit to the rest of the homes style or decor. This is a room where you can add something a bit unexpected. As for the loft area, these spaces can be difficult to decorate to achieve a uniformed look and should be painted the same color. |
