Question: Puting in dark floors, have large wall with 2 units in middle a murphy bed, it is made of formica. Walls are burgendy, hunter green and cream plaid with cream lower walls with chair rail. Furniture is burgundy couch, burgundy tapestry wing back chair and foot stool. tables are dark. What do I do with this wall unit? Can I paint it cream? I want to keep the English Country look Thanks so much Susan

Answer: If the finish on the unit ties in with the wood on your other pieces I would leave it as is. Accessorize it with some leather bound books, candlesticks, a few family photos, floral arrangements and intersperse some pottery, including plates that can be displayed on an easel. Consider whites and florals.
