Home : Q&A : Painting : Favorite paint colors

Title of Question:
Favorite paint colors |
|
Question: Searching for a good color? Here's my favorites. They are all Benjamin Moore because it's a local store for me and my husband likes the paint.
Oriental Silk: Medium range color, dull not bright yellow. Looks great with traditional furnishings and lots of fabrics especially those that have some yellow or gold.
Creme Fraiche: Soft pale yellow, pretty in a kitchen.
Tree Moss: Medium range green. I have it in my kitchen with off white glazed cabinets and I used a green and white toile fabric for curtains. Blue and white china accents actually look very pretty with this green.
Sweet bluette: Soft lighter blue. Good for bedroom or bathroom. Two other pretty blues are white satin and jet stream.
Golden straw: at 1/2 strength. Deeper than oriental silk and a little brighter.
Ivory Tusk: Nice off white with yellow tinge.
Shaker Beige at 1/2 strength: A nice "sand" color. It was too dark for my room at full color value so we had a gallon mixed at 1/2 formula.
Raspberry Truffle: A deep red with that touch of raspberry. Looks pretty with lots of white furniture in a girls bedroom with red and white bedding. Have also seen it in a kitchen with off white cabinets.
I know how many quarts we can buy looking for the right color, so I thought I'd share my favorites hoping they'll save someone some trouble. Please post a reply if you try any of these and let me know how you like them.
Good Luck with your decorating!
