Question: I am opening a home based business but have built a seperate building and I am looking for advice on how to decorate a boutique, have any new ideas, we will carry a variety of gift items, but mainly handbags, totes, etc. |

If the items, you sell have a lot of patterns and colors (sounds like they might)
Then I like lots of white walls, with white cubbies or white shelves and hanging display to showcase your items for sale. When homeowners have lots of art or a collection they want to highlight in their home, usually a soft white with excellent lighting is used.
You will want to consider using halogen track lighting to showcase items.
If some of your items for sale are solid, then you might consider a few large vertical panels of color or wallpaper. A mirrored area so purchasers can hold the item and look at themselves would be nice.
Separting items by use and type or room they'd be used in etc. would make sense to me. |
