Most only sell plants that are tolerant to your growing area. Then, read the little cards on the plants to find out their specific growing requirements which should include, sun/shade/partial sun/shade, watering, planting etc... . Also, most states have what we call university extension centers. They have master gardners who love to share their expertise.
