Name: Jennifer Title of Question: Stairs and flooring
Question: I live in a townhouse. The whole house (including the entryway) is covered in ivory carpet-what a mess! I want to take it up and put down laminate wood floors. The problem is in order to access the main living area from the entry way, you must go up 13 stairs. Everyone tells me it is expensive to cover stairs with laminate wood flooring but i do want to put it in the entryway and main living area. What do i do about the stairs?? Any other suggestions? I have a new puppy and she is traking grass and dirt all over the carpet so I need a solution fast! thanks

Answer: Leaving a bit of carpeting on the 13 stairs just doesn't look right. You will have to bite the bullet and spring for the laminate floors for those steps. You are lucky that it's only 13 steps. It will look nice though. Free Spirit Gallery http://www.FreeSpiritGallery.ca Exquisite Inuit (Eskimo) & Native American Art
