Home : Q&A : Bath : Unique Border Idea for Powder Room
| Name:

Title of Question:
Unique Border Idea for Powder Room |
|
Question: I have a powder room that I painted with black stripes (sink level down). The room is painted Millet (beige/yellow). Love the look, but need a border idea for the top of the stripes. I wanted to use chair rail but the room has rounded walls and I'd have to dig into the sheet rock to get it to lay flat. Have a wallpaper border now and I hate it. I want something more creative and unique. Any suggestions? |

| Answer:
Are the alternating stripes Black and Millet? Alot depends on the style, look and feel that you are trying to creat. Do you wanta peaceful, serene feel or one that is more energetic? Also more details such as flooring, fixtures, accessories and fabric would be helpful. |

| Answer:
Yes, the stripes are black and millet. I have a wood floor, pedestal sink (white with brushed nickel finish) and two light fixtures that are sconces which are also brushed nickel. I would like it to have a french provincial feel to it. Kind of like the ladies room at Paris in Las Vegas if you've ever been there? |

| Answer:
Could you use thick twine or fabric trim and hot glue it? Like braided trim used on edges of pillows etc. Check a fabric store like Joann's or Calico Corners for some. |
