Answer: You'll get more answers if you post a new question instead of as a respomse to another question. What colors are in the room? I like to keep that in mind. For a party or special occasion, consider the room and then the event. Celebration for a man or woman? Or dinner party? Discuss the party with a florist and they can help. If you're making it yourself, look for the container first, visit a craft store or a nursery center. Antique urns or low ceramic bowls are nice, but consider the overall height of the centerpiece if people are sitting at the table it's placed on. They should be able to see each other if seated and long and low is best for that. If the table is just for a buffet service, the centerpiece can be higher. All white and green is pretty and elegant and blends with almost any room color. White roses, white stock, green hydrangea and lemon leaves or other fillers like ferns. Easter centerpiece or late winter early spring, think spring. Forsythia in a large blue and white vase in the room with a centerpiece of yellow tulips with purple or pink hyacinth or pink roses. Hope that gave you some inspiration.
