Question: I'm planning to change my rugs to hardwood, from the dining room it flows into the kitchen eating area, I am wondering if I should continue on with the hardwood, or put tiles in the kitchen and eating area, I think the space would flow better if it was all hardwood, but people are telling me Not to put hardwood in the kitchen, My decor is Country with a mixtures of French Provincial, and I want to put dard Oak floors in, my kitchen cupboards are white... your suggestiong would be appreciated

Answer: I have hardwood floors in a kitchen are no ploblem as long as they are finished in a semi-gloss or gloss finish. Tile flooring is diffucult to maintan in the kitchen are requires scrubbing.
