Answer: I made a false column and it really made my dining room more formal. I understand I had the same problem!

Answer: anything that divides or even just partially creates seperateness of the two areas: room divider, partition, curtain drapes, 3 or 4 panel asian screens, anykind of panel screen dividers, beaded curtain....

Answer: My daughter wants to paint her room red. I have talked her into using a light soft gray on all the walls but one. Now she wants two walls red and two walls gray. It is a fairly square small room. Will it looked chopped up with two walls one color and two the other? And if acceptable would you paint connecting walls the same color? Linda
