| Answer:
We have succesfully painted over wallpaper, but the key is the base wallpaper must be firmly secured and that can be difficult in a high humidity room like a bathroom. I would try to reglue the paper and wait a few weeks to see if it is holding. If not, removing the paper might be the answer. If there is some damamge to the wall underneath, you could use a heavy duty wallpaper liner over the damaged wall. Then you can either paint the liner or re-wallpaper over the liner. The liner should be installed horizontally, so check with the store for directions before applying it to the wall for your specfic circumstances. |
