Home : Q&A : Dining Room : painting the dining room

Name: Kim Title of Question: painting the dining room
Question: I need suggestions on what color to paint our dining room. It is quite small, but it quite bright as it has sliding glass doors in that area. The lino is a medium to darker grey marble color and it is right beside our small kitchen which has the same lino and white cabinets and appliances. The countertop is a dark charcoal grey/black color. We are going to be selling the house and want to make it look appealing. Right now the walls are white.

Answer: You realy have a clean slate to work with. I think that a green or plum would compliment the colors that you mentioned. Paint it a color that you like. Most often potential home buyers will repaint within a year of purchasing the house.
