Will this make the room look even smaller in an already small bathroom? The ceiling is also relatively low,~7ft. In one bathroom I did use a wallpaper with a darker blue background and blue and white flowers and I love it. I would try the color you prefer, you can always repaint it lighter, as it will only be half of the room anyway.
