Name: Going Crazy Title of Question: three paint colors in one room
Question: I have an open kitchen/dining room. How weird would it look to have white ceilings, kind of a beige on three walls and a strong yellow on two kitchen walls (one with French doors and cabinets and the other with cabinets)?

Answer: Absolutely fine. Most ceilings are painted white and have a different color on the walls. How do you end up with 5 walls in a room? The yellow wall should be your focal wall. Be sure to use this collor in other ways throughout the space. You dont want it to stick out like a sore thumb but as if it belongs.

Answer: My kids want their room their favorita color, but they share, can I paint one wall Green, One wall Blue?

Answer: I think it's fine to paint one wall blue and one wall green, but personally I would keep the color values very similiar, if doing two walls. So if you used a very dark green, then I would use a dark blue and if you used a light blue, then I'd want a light green etc. You could also consider painting horizontal or vertical stripes and use the two colors that way. For either stripes have one wide blue, then a wide stripe of a neutral color like white, then a wide stripe of green. You could also vary the widths of the stripes. Then you could use varying degress of the paint colors. That way it will be a fun room for the kids.
