Question: I have a darker wood paneling, english oak stain.......what color wood floor would you suggest?

Answer: Is this paneling in sheets? The room will be very dark with wood floors and walls. Have you considered painting the paneling? We have done this very successfully in a beach cottage. You can also wallpaper paneling. There are heavy duty liners that you put on horizontially and then the wallpaper get installed over the liner. That way it hides the "lines" in the paneling. In one room we put up a chair rail and painted the lower half and wallpapered above the chair rail. Most people are surprised to find out it started as regular paneling. if you would like to try to paint, check with a local paint store. If the paneling finish is still "shiny" you'll have to lighty sand first, then prime the paneling and then finish with paint. Any time you want to change the color, you'll just have to re-paint, no priming the second time around. Good Luck.
