A Great Idea!!

I saw this idea first hand at my Aunt and Uncles home. I’ve already passed it on to my daughter who has implemented it in her home. Cheryl, (my aunt) has two areas in her home in which she displays priceless family pictures. She has a sideboard in the dining room and a game table in the family room in which she purchased a piece of glass that matched the size of the tabletop. She then cleverly displays the pictures on the tabletop (similar to “scrapbooking” a page) and covers it with the glass. There is now a protected display space for these treasures as well as a practical surface for the tables use. I loved this idea and remembered that Jennifer (my daughter who recently married) has a little butler’s coffee table with a glass top on it. I told Jennifer about Cheryl’s displays and suggested she use some of her wedding pictures. Jennifer called, very thrilled with what she had done. She bought a couple of doilies from the dollar store and used them as backdrops. She then place a few of her wedding pictures, the wedding invitation, the wedding program and the thank you card with Mr. & Mrs. engraved on it under the glass. She now had a wonderful display of some of her wedding keepsakes. She was quite pleased with the results. You can do it too!!
