1 - Lamp Creativity
A lamp trick I have used over the years is one that can be great fun, especially in children’s room. Buy an inexpensive, clear glass jar lamp (the kind you usually see with seashells in them) and fill it with all kinds of collectibles. I have used marbles, match cars, spools of thread, gumballs, hair ribbons, etc. You get the idea! They’re not just for seashells. Using your imagination and working with the theme of a room, you will soon have the perfect items to fill the lamp and a darling accessory for your room.

2 - Lamp Shade Fun
Another twist for decorating a lamp, but concentrating on the shade for a sports theme- boy’s room is to glue baseball cards (or other sports cards) at random all over the shade, until it is completely covered. You will need to overlap, twist and turn them to achieve the most interesting look. It will be a wonderful addition and a fun way to display his collections. Just don’t glue a valuable Mickey Mantle card to the shade!
