Make a Flower Arrangement

You will need to cut a piece of foam to the size of your container. A kitchen knife works well. I needed to shave the edges down so the foam would fit tightly. Using your hot glue gun, glue the foam to the container. Please use caution when working with a hot glue gun- they get very hot!

Using three to four of the “line flowers” place them in the container in your desired manner. I used a basic triangle for the arrangement shape, which works well for dining tables. These line flowers will provide the height and width of the arrangement. Most all other flowers are filled inside these points.

This tip can be used at any point of the arrangement making. If you need more length on a flower stem (usually after cutting it too short) add a wire pic to the end of the flower stem, by simply placing the pic at the end of the stem and wrapping the wire around the flower stem to secure. You can cut the end of the wooden stick shorter if needed. I used this tip quite a bit at the end when I was filling in with tiny pieces of ivy. You will be able to use more of the leaves and greenery, if you will extend them with the pic.

Cutting the wire stem is a step that will be needed for most all the florals and fillers of your arrangement. Try to determine where you want to place the flower and allowing enough stem to insert into the foam, cut with wire cutters at the desired location. If you cut too short- grab a wire pic.
